Jim Beasley’s media & PR expertise is derived from more than 25 years in journalism and public/media relations. Strengths include writing, editing, public speaking, and relationship-building.

Experience includes healthcare crisis and emergency risk communications responsibilities as director of public information for a state health agency. In order to obtain this status, many hours of training were spent under the tutelage of experts with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. During this time, Jim was involved in the development of appropriate public information messages for situations including deadly chemical spills and attempted bioterrorism -- both of which gained national and worldwide attention in the media.

Jim began his broadcast journalism career in 1974 in Memphis, Tennessee, and went on to hold authority positions with well-known and respected giants in the industry, including VIACOM, Bloomington Broadcasting and Liberty Broadcasting. He has been, and always will be, a follower of Mervin Block's philosophy: write copy that is shorter, sharper and stronger.

In the field of public relations, Jim developed strong relationships with clients by placing them in some of the most respected industry and trade publications in the country. Sometimes, he involved his clients in planned stories that helped demonstrate their leadership in the field. Other times, Jim wrote feature articles that shone a spotlight on his client’s products and services, obtaining national and international coverage. In both situations, the objective was strongly met, maximum exposure was obtained, and clients were extremely pleased with the results.

Jim possesses a strong work ethic, proving himself through dedication, perseverance, and a strong sense for making the right moves for his clients. This ability will help achieve the results you need, too.

Jim continues to be fascinated with the world of technology and the ubiquity of the Internet. His innate curiosity led him into website development training at Microsoft's headquarters in Redmond, WA in 1998. Since then, he has frequently dabbled in website creation skills including the use of powerful image and development tools including Microsoft WorkBench and FrontPage, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Flash, and Sonic Foundry’s Sound Forge.

One of the most important lessons he has learned, however, is that websites can be just as effective -- if not more so -- by keeping things simple.

If these skills and philosophies appeal to your desire for continued success, please contact Jim today. Together, you can get started right away.
